E Tipu: The Boma Agri Summit is known for bringing industry leaders, innovators, trailblazers and visionaries together to ignite conversations that drive real change. This year stays true to that legacy, providing a gathering ground where bold ideas meet actionable strategies.

E Tipu is in Manawatū for the first time on 18-19 June 2024. The early event lineup is taking shape and promises to be a powerful and thought-provoking experience.

Let us introduce the first wave of speakers for E Tipu 2024.

Leading the charge in reimagining food systems is Principal Futurist of The Future Market Mike Lee. Mike is a frequent global speaker on the future of food and has been featured in various conferences and publications, including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fast Company, The New York Times — to name a few.

Mike brings a wealth of expertise and insight to the table. With a focus on exploring what the food landscape could look like in the next 5 to 10 years, he collaborates with industry giants to develop strategies for thriving in a rapidly evolving future.

Millie Palmer is a year 12 student at Cashmere High School, and is making waves in the fight against pollution. Her passion lies in creating sustainable solutions to microplastic pollution, particularly in the realm of water pollution. Millie is focusing on making wool filters to remove microplastics from washing machine outtakes. She’s dedicated to finding hope for the future of New Zealand by addressing the pressing issue of pollution through locally sourced, sustainable resources.

Also joining the stage is the visionary at the helm of Fruitminder Sebastian Chapman. With a background in software engineering and a deep-seated connection to agriculture, Sebastian is committed to revolutionising the food industry through technological innovation.

As CEO of Fruitminder, he and his team are at the forefront of leveraging technology for positive change. Their software enables users to create GPS-mapped digital twins of their orchards, providing the data necessary to make informed decisions for their businesses.
