Hailing from a lineage deeply rooted in agriculture, Sebastian's journey began on a small farm, mere kilometres away from his family's dairy and sheep farm. From a young age, he was immersed in the intricacies of farming life, fostering a profound appreciation for the land and its potential. Later in life, operating cutting-edge machinery with GPS precision sparked a revelation, igniting his pursuit of leveraging technology for sustainable farming practices — and he hasn’t looked back.

Sebastian’s the visionary at the helm of Fruitminder. He and his team have developed software that enables users to create GPS-mapped digital twins of their orchards, providing the data necessary to make informed decisions for their businesses.

Educated through an AgITO Apprenticeship and further studies at Massey University, Sebastian's diverse roles — from dairy farmer to software engineer — have honed his expertise. Now CEO of FruitMinder, he's dedicated to accelerating the transition to sustainable farming practices.

His professional journey has seen him wear many hats — from dairy and crop farmer to project manager and software engineer. Each role has enriched his understanding of the complexities of food production and solidified his commitment to driving meaningful change.
