Path-breaking super CEO, Paul Polman, announced as E Tipu 2021 keynote speaker

 

Paul Polman, co-founder of IMAGINE and former CEO of Unilever, will deliver a keynote address at E Tipu 2021: The Boma NZ Agri Summit, set for May 11–12 at Christchurch Town Hall.

Described by The Financial Times as "A standout CEO of the past decade”, Paul is renowned as an exemplary leader driving transformational change for sustainable business.

Paul is co-founder and co-chair of IMAGINE, a social venture which mobilises business leaders around tackling climate change and global inequality. He is also the honorary chair of the International Chamber of Commerce, chair of The B Team and Saïd Business School, and vice-chair of the UN Global Compact.

Paul was appointed to the U.N. Secretary General’s High-level Panel that developed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is a founding member of the Business & Sustainable Development Commission. He is a U.N.-appointed SDG advocate and was honoured with France’s Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.

In 2018 Paul was named an Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) for services to business. He is also a recipient of the Public Service Star from the Government of Singapore and received the Treaty of Nijmegen medal.
