CEO, Hōhepa Hawke's Bay

 

For over two decades, Santiago De Marco has served as the CEO of Hōhepa, a sanctuary of support and opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities. At Hōhepa, Santiago oversees a multifaceted ecosystem encompassing housing, education, and a myriad of vocational activities. 

Hōhepa operations include two organic (biodynamic) farms, a boutique cheese factory, market gardens, a native plant nursery, a candle studio, weavery and other craft activities. Hōhepa’s dairy and horticultural production has operated under regenerative farming practices for six decades, and holds Demeter (biodynamic) and BioGro (organic) certification.

Santiago's influence extends beyond the borders of Hōhepa. He has vast experience networking in the international Steiner anthroposophical movement. His expertise transcends sectors, with experience in health, education, governance and management.

Originally hailing from Argentina, Santiago has found his home in the vibrant community of Hawke’s Bay, where he resides with his family.
