Lucie is experienced in the field of agriculture and sustainable farming practices, with a career that spans over a decade in both public and private sectors. As the Head of Client Strategy and Advice at FMG, Lucie has been instrumental in shaping strategies that resonate with the needs of the modern farmer, focusing on innovation and resilience in the face of changing agricultural landscapes. Lucie's roots are deeply embedded in the dairy farming traditions of New Zealand, giving her a profound understanding of the challenges and triumphs of the farming community.

A 2022 Nuffield scholar, Lucie has traveled extensively to gather global insights into agriculture, exploring environmental and farming contexts across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Her international study tour, which spanned four months, allowed her to engage directly with farmers, growers, support organisations, and politicians providing her with a comprehensive view of the global agricultural sector. This experience has enriched her perspective, enabling her to draw parallels and contrasts that are valuable to New Zealand's agriculture scene.

Lucie is a well recognised speaker for her contributions on both local and international platforms. Her expertise has been showcased at numerous events, including United Nations conferences, where her insights have spurred advancements in digital agriculture initiatives under the UN's auspices. Additionally, Lucie is a member on a New Zealand Mirror Committee, actively participating in the formulation of an ISO standard. Her multifaceted experience underscores her commitment to excellence and innovation in her field.

Lucie's commitment to the sector is evident in her previous role where she managed the Covid Recovery and Supply Chain team at the Ministry for Primary Industries. Here, she tackled disruptions to domestic food and fibre supply chains, ensuring the primary sector's resilience during the pandemic.

An alumnus of the University of Oxford, Lucie holds a Masters of Science, which complements her practical experience with a strong academic foundation. Moreover, as a top rower for her college and an ultra marathon runner, Lucie has demonstrated the same dedication and teamwork in sports as she does in her professional life.
