Iconic Aotearoa professional director Rob Campbell, ag innovation expert Sarah Nolet, and agribusiness pioneer Yasir Khokhar speaking at E Tipu 2022

Our primary industries are front and centre for every major conversation we have about the critical issues shaping our future.

E Tipu gathers experts in food and fibre to explore trends, advance cross-sector innovation and accelerate positive change — supporting Aotearoa's food and fibre ecosystem to thrive in our changing world.

Let us introduce you to the next round of world leaders in the primary industries speaking at E Tipu 2022.

Rob Campbell is one of Aotearoa’s most esteemed and influential professional directors. His extensive background in governance spans 40 years and includes union, public and private sector experience both domestically and overseas. He’s an outspoken and progressive business leader who continuously bats for holistic business models, systemic change and community wellbeing.

Rob trained as an economist and has worked in a variety of capital market advisory and governance roles over his impressive career. He’s currently chair of Interim Health NZ, Environmental Protection Authority NZ, NZ Rural Land Company, Tourism Holdings Ltd., WEL Networks, and holds board roles with several not-for-profit entities.

Joining Rob is internationally recognised agriculture innovation expert Sarah Nolet. Sarah is co-founder of the Agthentic Group, including  Agthentic Advisory and Tenacious Ventures — Australia’s only specialist agrifood tech VC firm. She also hosts the AgTech...So What? podcast, featuring bi-weekly insights about the trends, technologies and innovators building the food system of the future.

Sarah’s been instrumental in building the agtech ecosystem in Australia and globally — from advising dozens of startups, designing accelerator programs, and consulting forestablished agribusinesses, to helping industry, universities and government develop and implement forward-looking initiatives in food system innovation.

This week's final speaker announcement welcomes founder and CEO of Connecterra, Yasir Khokhar. Yasir’s entrepreneurial streak began in 1997 when he co-founded his first company providing e-commerce development consulting to international customers. After his second venture, Interactive Software Ltd., he moved to Microsoft. In his ten-year tenure, Yasir led the transformation of Microsoft Office into a cloud business for the Middle East before heading up the Microsoft Office business unit for Western Europe.

Yasir’s transfer to the Netherlands proved fortuitous when he moved next door to a Dutch dairy farmer. As CEO and founder of Connecterra, Yasir focuses on the commercial aspects of the business, architecting corporate-level agreements with some of the world’s largest dairy brands, and setting strategic direction in partnership with the executive team. Under his leadership, the company has grown from an idea to winning Startup of the Year at Web Summit in 2015, Google’s Demo Day in 2016 and Dell in 2017.

E Tipu is about connecting, arming and inspiring changemakers from across the food and fibre sector for what comes next — so you can take specific, positive action the very next day. Book ahead for 21-22 June with confidence with our comprehensive COVID-safe plan and refund policy in place.
