Anna Campbell

Anna Campbell is a commercial scientist with a PhD in plant biotechnology and a passion for plant bioactives. She co-founded Zestt Wellness and M2 Biotechnology after stepping down as the Managing Director of AbacusBio in 2020. She has extensive scientific and commercial experience from her 15 years at AbacusBio, six as their Managing Director, leading an international team working in over 20 countries on food and agricultural programmes. 

Anna’s focus on using plant bioactives to improve health outcomes led her to explore the parallels between the global biodiversity collapse and the rise in chronic disease in humans, which she will discuss at E Tipu IFAMA 2023. Anna also holds directorships in New Zealand and US enterprises, she chairs Otago Innovation Ltd and the Astino Sheep Company, and is a Director of Acceligen Ltd and the New Zealand Cricket Association.
