Introducing E Tipu 2021: The agri summit of the year

Following the success of 2019’s Boma NZ Grow summit, Boma New Zealand presents E Tipu 2021, the food and fibre event of the year.

Set to be Aotearoa’s ultimate agricultural forum, E Tipu brings together leaders who understand the primary sector from top to bottom, including guest speakers, exhibitors and like-minded attendees with a focus on four themes: innovation, disruption, transformation and inspiration.

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s how important it is to collaborate, communicate and work collectively across sectors to become better together — keeping us at the forefront of the agricultural sector.

Held at Christchurch Town Hall on May 11-12, E Tipu addresses a series of critical questions we’re facing in a rapidly changing world, such as:

  • How are markets changing?

  • Has COVID-19 changed the way we operate?

  • What business models should we be exploring?

  • What role do Māori wisdom, values, and practices play in Aotearoa’s unique value proposition?

  • What agritech solutions are fundamentally changing the landscape of our food and fibre sectors?

  • How can we collaborate locally and globally?

  • What does our social license look like going forward?

  • How can we focus more on value and less on volume?

  • How is climate affecting our primary sector?

  • How can we draw focus to hauora (health and wellbeing) for our generation and those to come?

  • What is our actual responsibility when it comes to land use and clean waterways and who should pay?

No. 8 wire is good, but have you heard Paul Polman’s strategy on collaboratively driving impactful change for sustainable business practices? Or Jono Frew’s thoughts on regenerative agriculture and rural mental health? What about Melissa Clark-Reynold’s ideas on disruption in agriculture with an ethical spin?

Progressive change is all around us and knowledge on how to become part of it is more crucial than ever before. E Tipu fosters transformed ideas and a reformed connection to the whenua and new friends, helping to enrich and support the agri community for this generation and generations to come.

Here’s to greener pastures, Aotearoa.
