Millie Palmer is a year twelve student at Cashmere High School in Ōtautahi Christchurch Christchurch with a passion for creating sustainable solutions to microplastic pollution, particularly in the realm of water pollution. She’s dedicated to finding hope for the future of New Zealand by addressing the pressing issue of pollution through locally sourced, sustainable resources.

Beyond her commitment to environmental advocacy, Millie is an enthusiast of the arts and an active individual. She loves singing, performing, and engaging in outdoor activities such as canoe polo and adventure races. 

Currently working on her Duke of Edinburgh Award, Millie is committed to personal growth and achievement; her recent accolades include winning the Environment Canterbury Wrybill Trophy and subsequently securing the GirlBoss NZ Innovation Award.
